Assistant Service Manager

Clarks Landing Yacht Sales in Point Pleasant, NJ is currently seeking a quality-conscious Marine Technician/Assistant Service Manager with a high work ethic. Must be honest and reliable with knowledge in outboards, gas and diesel engines, outdrives and lower units. Ability to troubleshoot, service, maintain, repair and replace boat system parts such as AC units, pumps, pressure switches, bait wells, water systems, heads, electronics, etc.

Responsibilities include:

Help capture and coordinate all service requests and work.
Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot problems and repair boats; prep boats for delivery.
Develop and monitor procedures and policies to grow the service department, create efficiencies and provide a superior product .
Assist in communicating with all customers in a clear and productive way for all jobs on a routine basis.
Inspection and approval of work performed in keeping with our standards.
Ensure compliance with safety, OSHA and all standards.
Ability to work under strict deadlines, balancing competing priorities.
Assist in guiding the service department technicians on a daily basis, keeping a strong handle on larger projects and schedules; must direct clearly, respond to questions and monitor quality.
Assist in overseeing the parts department, ensuring pricing and inventory is accurate.
Accurate and timely retail, warranty and prep billing.
Develop strong working relationships with Clarks Landing Yacht Sales brokers and administrative team.
Care for service department equipment including vehicles, tools, etc.
